DESCRIPTION:Think\nWe will be showing you our dynamic approach to Schema Therapy.  Be actively involved as you learn. Plenty of experiential exercises in addition to learning about assessment and case conceptualisation of complex issues.  We will enable you to use an emotions focused approach in working with the therapeutic relationship and to use cognitive and behavioural techniques. \nFeel\nWe value personal attention as well as an active but also safe practice environment. Learn about the practicalities of Schema Therapy and familiarise yourself with key core emotional needs and how to use these in treament and the therapeutic relationship. \nAct\nWe promote an active way of learning. You will be working with two trainers. Learning to connect\, give direction and set boundaries. Prepare to engage your client in this dynamic therapy. \nWho is this for?\nMental health specialists (clinical/counselling psychologists\, psychotherapists\, CBT therapists\, psychiatrists) who are interested in SchemaTtherapy and work with patients with personality disorders or chronic and severe psychological problems. \nEducational entry requirement level for Schema Therapy training\nThere are a number of professional criteria you would need to fullfil in order to become an accredited Schema therapist with the ISST. The main ones are listed below. \nIn line with ISST requirements\, the minimum entry level for basic and advanced accreditation in Schema Therapy training requires a relevant qualification at Masters level. \nYou must be licensed to practice within your country. \nYou will be required to learn Schema Therapy and mode work with clinical cases with considerable complexity.  This will be determined by chronicity\, multiple failure to respond to former evidenced based psychotherapeutic treatment and comorbidity\, or other issues that contribute to significant difficulty in the interpersonal domain. \nAccreditation ISST\nThe Academy for Schema Therapy (UK) in cooperation with Academie voor Schematherapie (NL) offers an ISST approved international training program \nTrainers\nSaskia Ohlin and Ruth McCutcheon \nLocation and date\nThe training will be online\n2023\, February 10 and 24\, March 10\, 17 and 24\, April 21\, May 12\nTime: 9 am to 5 pm GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
