We will be showing you our dynamic approach to Schema Therapy. Be actively involved as you learn. Plenty of experiential exercises in addition to learning about assessment and case conceptualisation of complex issues. We will enable you to use an emotions focused approach in working with the therapeutic relationship and to use cognitive and behavioural techniques.

Who is this for?
Mental health specialists (clinical/counselling psychologists, psychotherapists, CBT therapists, psychiatrists) who are interested in SchemaTtherapy and work with patients with personality disorders or chronic and severe psychological problems.
Educational entry requirement level
There are a number of professional criteria you would need to fullfil in order to become an accredited Schema therapist with the ISST. The main ones are listed below.
In line with ISST requirements, the minimum entry level for basic and advanced accreditation in Schema Therapy training requires a relevant qualification at Masters level.
You must be licensed to practice within your country.
You will be required to learn Schema Therapy and mode work with clinical cases with considerable complexity. This will be determined by chronicity, multiple failure to respond to former evidenced based psychotherapeutic treatment and comorbidity, or other issues that contribute to significant difficulty in the interpersonal domain.

The Academy for Schema Therapy (UK) in cooperation with Academie voor Schematherapie (NL) offers an ISST approved international training program
